  11.     Please pardon me if this is insulting, but if you haven't done much or
  12. any ftp'ing before, this might be what got you.   Were you doing a binary or
  13. ascii transfer?   When DL'ing binary files, you usually have to first type
  14. 'binary' at the ftp> prompt, otherwise you'll get an ascii transfer, and the
  15. file will be corrupted in transit.
